Mr. Daniel Keenan

Daniel B. Keenan, 79, a resident of Port Charlotte, Fl. Died on December 2, 2016. Born May 11, 1937 in Beacon, NY to the late Patrick and Susan Bradley Keenan. Daniel married Geraldine Seifts in St. Stanislaus Church, Pleasant Valley, NY on May 7, 1960. Daniel is survived by his wife and children Joyce Mary Banks, Hilton Head, S.C. Eileen Keenan (Jay Ellsoffer), Jeffrey Michael, Wappinger’s Falls, NY. Daniel Bradley, Groton, NY, Brian Patrick (Colleen) East Worcester, Patrick John (Bonnie) of Ashburn, VA. Daniel is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was one of 10 children.  Surviving siblings are brothers Msgr. Patrick John, Hugh, Michael, Colin, sisters Rosalea Megna and Sharon Rose Wallace. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Suzanne Riccottili, Mary Agnes leek and Patricia Green. Dan proudly served his country in the United States navy, serving japan and aboard the U.S.S. Midway. Dan was a life member of the Knights of Columbus #445 in Beacon, NY and the Punta Gorda Elks, Punta Gorda, FL. American Legion Post 110, and the Loyal Order of the Moose, a former member of the fraternal Order of Eagles of Port Charlotte, FL. A celebration of life at the American Legion Post 110 after the Mass on Tuesday December 06, 2016.  Following cremation there will be a Memorial Mass and Burial at ST. Joachim Beacon, NY.
