Paul N. Chapman, 82, of North Port, Florida and formerly of Reading, Massachusetts died Thursday April 29, 2010. Mr. Chapman was born on December 23, 1927 in Malden, Massachusetts the eldest son of the late John and Margaret Chapman. Brother of the late Nancy Fitzgerald. Mr. Chapman graduated from New England College and Reading High School. Mr. Chapman was a Civil Engineer for the State of Massachusetts for 38 years before retiring. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy.
Loving and devoted husband for 57 years to Georgie Gardner Chapman; loving father of Karen McLaughlin, Janet Carrier and her husband Doug; John Chapman and his wife, Colleen; Amy Chapman. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Patrick and Robyn McLaughlin, Paul and Megan Carrier and Elizabeth and Kathryn Chapman; his sister, Helen Shea and her husband Tom and a brother, Sherman Chapman and his wife Donna; and many nieces and nephews.
