Phyllis L. Peterson, 89, of Logansport, IN, and formerly of Deer River, MN, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home in North Port, FL on Feb. 25, 2012. Phyllis, a business school graduate, was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was an excellent cook. Phyllis was an avid reader and an accomplished seamstress. She took great pleasure in creating handmade Christmas decorations for friends and family.
Phyllis is survived by her children, son, William (Leah) Peterson, Logansport, IN and daughter, Valerie Jetland, North Port, FL; grandchildren, Christine (Milt) Hess, Logansport, IN, and Robin (Christopher) Walter, Nappanee, IN; great-grandchildren, Hayley and Tanner Hess, and Kennedy and Paige Walter; sisters, Harriet Oleyar, Minneapolis, MN and Ila Touranjeau, Edina, MN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Peterson in 1999.
