Richard Charles Locker, 79, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away April 6, 2018. He was born April 4, 1939 to Herbert B. Locker and Edith Anna (Matthews) Locker in Philadelphia PA. He resided in the Heritage Oaks Community in Port Charlotte.
Survived by his three older brothers, Herbert B Locker Jr. and Theodore R. Locker both of North Carolina, and Warren M. Locker of Port Charlotte Florida : 6 nephews and 1 niece as well as extended family members.
Richard served in the US Navy USNR from Sept. 30, 1956 until Sept. 16, 1962 on the USS Meredith. After his service in the Navy, he went on to study at Eastern College and obtained his Associates Degree in teaching and taught at Springfield TWP Schools in Springfield, Delco PA., where he coached Lacrosse and led them to many Championship games.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Heritage Oaks Lodge on April 28th, 2018 from 2PM until 4PM. The address is 19520 Oak Heritage Blvd. Port Charlotte Fl. 33948. Richard asked in lieu of flowers to please make donations to Eastern University to their endowment fund.
