Robert moved to Punta Gorda, Florida in July of 2008 from Wilmington,
Illinois. Robert was a member of Iron Workers Union Local 444 of Joliet,
Illinois. He was forced to retire due to his long time illness in 2006. He
Was a life time member of VFW Cantigny Post 367 of Joliet, Ill and the
American Legion Post 0103 in Punta Gorda, Florida. He was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army and did two tours in Viet Nam. Robert was of the Catholic Faith all of his life
Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara (Decman); 2 daughters, Kena Sievert of Tampa, Florida and Kelly Sievert of Joliet, Illinois; Two step children, Tim Maticic of Punta Gorda, Florida and Elizabeth Barton (Rob) of Palatine, Illinois, two beloved grandsons, Trenton and Tyler Barton; one brother,
John " nerves" De Pratt of Wilmington, Illinois; numerous sister- in- laws and brother-in-laws also numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Georgia (Gierich) De Pratt; his father, Elmer De Pratt and his step-mother Marge (Beaker) De Pratt.
Visitation Saturday, November 24, 2012 from 11:00 a. m. until 1:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Services will be at 1:00 p.m.
