

Born on September 5,1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Robin “Mike” Von Hofen was the beloved husband of Carolyn (Dubee) Von Hofen and the son of John and Jean Von Hofen. He is survived by his brother David Von Hofen, his daughters Linda (Rich) Love, Lori (Steve) Boggs, Mindy (Jim) Hartley and Robin Von Hofen, eight grandchildren and one great grandson. Preceded in death by his brothers John and Earl and grandson Cristian.
Mike attended Sonshine Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years. He was also Post Junior Vice Commander of V.F.W.Post 5631. Additionally, Mike was a member of Masonic Temple 716. He graduated from Point Park University.
Mike retired as Code Compliance Officer from the City of Hollywood, Florida. In his retirement and as an avid golfer he worked for Sabal Trace Golf Course, North Port, Florida. He also served as a mate for King Fisher Fleet, Punta Gorda, Florida. Mike also enjoyed building wooden ship replicas and tending his orchids.
A service will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Tuesday, May 20th at 11:30AM.
