Ruth T. Brown

She was born in Dobbs Ferry, NY on October 2, 1927. She resided in NY until her move to Englewood, FL in 1969.

She worked in Real Estate in NY and continued working when she moved to Fla. She worked with many agencies through the years and partnership as Owner/Broker of Remax Realty for many years. She was recognized by the National Association of Realtors in 2012 for being the first member of the Englewood Board of Realtors to receive the status of �"Realtor Emeritus” for over forty years of service. She worked with Floridian Realty, LLC until her retirement in December 2014.

She was associated with various local organizations, Chamber of Commerce, Englewood Garden Club, among others over the years.

She loved to golf, travel, boating, picnics at the beach and most of all she loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her sons: Christopher P. (Rosemarie) Gratz of Putnam Valley, NY; Clifford M. (Frances) Gratz of Englewood, FL; daughters; Cynthia G. Riso of Englewood FL, Constance R. (William) of Marston Mills, MA ; Sister Barbara A. (Leonard) Reese of Medford, OR and brother-in-law, Albert G. Holt of Englewood, FL; Granchildren; Michele Gratz, Clifford J. Gratz, Matthew R. Gratz, Paul A Riso, Francesca Delle Femine and Julianna Delle Femine; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; Walter V. Keeling, Mildred (de Serres) Keeling; husband, Raymond L. Brown; sisters, Jean P. Holt, Mildred D. Stevens; son, Curtis A. Gratz and dear friend Paul M. Gratz.

A memorial service will be on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Lemon Bay Funeral Home. Following the service there will be a Celebration of Life at Lemon Bay Park.
