Shirley L. Elliott, 89, of Nokomis, FL passed away January 24, 2015. She was born June 20, 1925 in Lakewood, Ohio and moved to this area in 1991 from North Ridgeville, Ohio. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Sarasota, the PEO Sisterhood, the Christian Women’s Fellowship and the Friends of the Library.
She is survived by her husband, Maynard Elliott, her daughter, Sally Gustafson, 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Susan Morgan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday April 11, 2015 at the First Christian Church of Sarasota, 7601 Clark Road, Sarasota, FL 34241. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Sarasota, PEO Program for Continuing Education, 3700 Grand Avenue, DesMoines, IA 50312 or to Tidewell Hospice at tidewell.org.
