Susan E. Dougherty, 72 of Venice, Florida died Saturday July 14, 2012. Mrs. Dougherty was born June 2, 1940 in Buffalo, New York to William and Margaret (Clark) Goodfield. She moved to Venice in 1982 from Pomona, New York. Mrs. Dougherty was a retired Banker; she also worked at Doctors Hospital of Sarasota and Howards Pool Service. She was a member of the D.A.R., American Legion Auxiliary and the Venice Moose Lodge.
Mrs. Dougherty is survived by her husband, George S. Dougherty of Venice; sister, Jeanne Cameron of Ft. Myers, FL; sons, Donald L. (Michaelle) Williamson, II of Boston, MA; William (Carmen) Dougherty; daughters, Sandra (Gordon) Frailey; Sheila (Philip) Ward; Laurie (Ronald) Giroux; Linda (William) Faber; nephew, William Verock of Czech Republic ; and several cousins; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; and numerous close friends.
