He was born on February 5, 1944 in Boston, Massachusetts and came to this area from Scituate, Massachusetts, 25 years ago. He was a driver for Ambitrans located in Port Charlotte, Florida for 17 years before his retirement. Thomas was an avid Bowler and loved to golf.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Joan H. Stone of Punta Gorda, Florida his 2 sons, Mark Stone of Santa Cruz, California and Gregory (Stacy) Stone of Plymouth, Massachusetts; his brother, William (Margaret) Stone of The Village, Florida. A sister, Patricia (Dennis) Yeaton of Pembroke, Massachusetts and 2 step-grandchildren, Chester and Kaitlan Garland
Visitation Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until service time at 4:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida. Burial and additional services will be in Scituate, MA
