Jean was born on February 20, 1935 in Reed City, Michigan. She became a resident of Englewood in 1972 when she moved from Lansing, MI, with her husband, Jim, and their four children. She became widowed February 20, 2007, when Jim predeceased her in death.
Jean was retired from Charlotte County Public Schools Transportation Department where she worked for many years as an aide on the school buses.
Survivors include three sons: Kelly of Fredericksberg, VA, Ken of Port Charlotte, FL and Kirk of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Kris Smith of Englewood, Fl; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
