Betty Irene Senay

Betty Senay 1929 - 2014, Betty Irene - passed away on December 20, at the age of 85. Betty was the family matriarch; she lived her life with integrity, love, and laughter. She took tremendous pride in her four children - Barb Ross (George), Dave (Cath), Jim (Jane), and Tom. Betty was an amazing grandmother to Sarah, Brendan, Michael (Vicky), Miki (Andrew), Andrew, Jaime, Zack, and Sam. She was pre-deceased by her husband George in 2010. A long time resident of Coquitlam, she was rich with friendships gained from many years of playing bridge, golfing and curling. An avid card player with friends and family, she won far more often than not. She was recently diagnosed with ALS - a disease that took its toll physically but did not dampen her spirits. We are all very thankful that she retained her wonderful sense of humour. She was often the voice of reason, and always the shoulder of comfort. Everyone who crossed her path was richer for the experience as she took great joy in the people in her life. The Senay family mourns the loss of our precious Mom/Grandma but finds comfort in the many memories of her very full & rewarding life. A beautiful soul has been lost to the world, but her spirit lives on with us forever. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Salvation Army.
