Dan was to me the Brother I wish I had been given. 
He was a true friend.
I had the honour and privilege of spending a couple of days with Him.
It was three wonderful  rounds of golf, games of crib, shared meals together,
singing in the car to our favourite tunes on the way to our golf adventures.
                       This time I will always Cherish.

I counted Dan as one of my good friends from the first time we met at CMBC. He was a kind and good hearted soul, who was genuinely happy to see me each time we ran into one another. My wife was also very fond of Dan, and we have had a running joke between the three of us over the years, that she called Dan her “ boyfriend.”  I’ll miss all our days together on the golf course since he retired a few years ago, and want to acknowledge his years of organizing those fun-filled days for us, until he turned the reins over to Charlie Hart. I’ll miss his big bear hugs and his bone crushing handshakes, and his hearty laugh, but most of all I’ll miss his gentle soul. R.I.P. my friend. 

Dan played golf with myself and the guys, he always had a smile on his face .He also enjoyed the 19 th hole with us. Dan will be sorely missed.l never met you Shirley but send sincere condolences to you and your family.

Always a smile, and a hug on golf Thursday. 

My name is Alyssa Champagne, I met Dan when we first moved to this area, about a year ago in the lagoon while walking my dogs Buck and Charlie.  We shared a love for dogs and because of that we became friends. We walked together often, and shared stories like friends often do. He never walked by without stopping to say a quick hello to Buck and Charlie. They loved him so much. We also shared a love for food, we exchanged recipes and shared some of the food we had made. His turkey sandwiches rocked! I spoke to him shortly before he passed, not knowing it would be the last time. He was always so full of joy and so happy, a true blessing to have around. I’m so grateful I took a picture of him and my dogs last time we saw him. It’s a memory I will treasure forever. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to Shirley whom I’ve heard soooo much about but never had the opportunity to meet, and to the rest of the family. Dan will be forever missed, may he Rest In Peace.
