A man of quiet strength and quick wit, he is survived by his wife Kathy, children Cindy (Jerry), Del (Jana), Alanna (Bo), David (Ryan), his grandchildren Shane, Tyler (Julia), Delaney, Shaelin, Zachery, Mia and Keaton, as well as his great grandchildren Mason and Jaxson. He is also survived by his mother (Stella), sister Judi (Grant) and many much loved nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind countless friends and pool opponents, who knew him best by his dry humour, sharp eye and kind spirit.
Dave, found joy in life’s simple pleasures - long drives and good hockey games (or really any sport on TV), and the familiar clack of billiard balls at Ball Breakers. He dedicated 35 years of service to Canada Post, before beginning a second career delivering dental supplies, where he got to know and truly enjoyed the regulars on his route. His eventual retirement brought him more time to walk his stubborn (but beloved) dog Hunter, and even more time to sharpen his pool game.
He was a man who never needed much, but gave so much - his jokes, his laughter, his stories, and his steady presence.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
At his request, and in keeping with his spirit, the family will be celebrating his life simply in the coming months. We will forever carry his memory in our hearts.
