Joyce was born on February 6, 1935, to Charlie and Lena Phillips. She grew up with two brothers, Ralph and Oscar, and lived in North Vancouver, B.C.
Joyce met her husband Ken as teenagers, got married and moved to Port Coquitlam where they bought their farm and raised three children, Danny, Rick, and Julie.
They eventually sold their farm, moved to 70 Mile, and then retired in Ashcroft, BC. Sadly, Ken passed away on July 28, 1992, at the age of 60.
Joyce and Arnold became very close and were together for 30 years. Arnold passed away and Joyce moved back to Maple Ridge to be near her children and especially her grandchildren.
Her daughter, and our sister, Julie, passed away in 2023.
Sadly, Joyce has now passed away at the age of 91 on August 29, 2026. She is dearly missed and will be lovingly remembered by all of her family.
