Mr. Patrick Alexander English

Patrick (Paddy) Alexander English passed away on March 14, 2010. Paddy was born in Cape Town, South Africa and worked as a compositor. He met Nancy Petterson, fell in love and eventually married her. They would have celebrated 49 years of marriage in April 2010. Together with their two children they embarked on a life changing journey to Vancouver, Canada where they settled down and started a new life. He worked for Pacific Press from 1974 until retirement at the age of 62. Paddy was a quiet gentleman who preferred solitude and personal interactions with a few. He loved gardening, music and in his earlier years loved to fish in the oceans around Cape Town. He was committed to his family and treasured his grandchildren. Paddy was pre-deceased by his daughter Vanessa and parents George and Winnifred. Paddy leaves behind his wife Nancy, son Graham (Wendy), grandchildren Luke (Michelle), Beth (Ryan), Daniel and Kaitlyn and great-grandson Casey. He also leaves behind his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Joe and Romaine Quimpo. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 1pm at Coquitlam Alliance Church (2601 Spuraway Ave. Coquitlam).
