Robert passed away peacefully after a challenging illness. A smart, inquisitive man with a great sense of humour, he graduated in 1978 from BCIT as an electronics technician and was interested in music, engineering, and spirituality. He was a great friend to all animals including humans, whom he would gift generously with anything he thought they would like to have. He delighted in helping others, and he could fix anything! Robert retired from Canada Post after a career as a highly skilled machine maintenance technician at the Pacific Processing Centre, where he made the impossible happen daily. He was a great help to his mom for many years, his patient and responsive support contributing to her living independently, and she will miss having him drop by. Robert's brothers Richard and Eric, and sisters Barb and Trish will treasure memories of a person who lived life in integrity and compassion for those in need. He particularly liked getting together for family events and "cousin parties" and spoke fondly of his most recent birthday celebration with Doreen, Mike and Brenda, Tom and Trish. Robert was truly a unique spirit and set an example for us all. The family thanks Shirley MacLennan and her team at the Shaughnessy Care Centre for their kindness and heartfelt attention. Rest in peace, Brother, we love you.
