Ryan Christopher Goertz

Ryan Christopher Goertz, 50, of Port Coquitlam, BC passed away on October 13, 2025 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Ryan was devoted husband to Joanne (Giovanna) and the best dad to his two children, Austin and Kara.

Ryan was a hard-worker and gave his all to everything he did, whether it was his job at Finning, volunteering in the community, playing music or just having some fun. Ryan always had time to help a friend or neighbour or share a laugh or funny story. He enjoyed playing music, woodworking, photography, travel and sports. Watching his kids play lacrosse or music on stage was his favorite thing to do.

He is survived by his wife, Joanne Goertz, his children Austin and Kara Goertz, his parents Wally and Sheila Goertz, mother-in-law Maria Carpenetti and too many extended family members and friends to name.

His legacy and lust for life will be with us always.

A celebration of life will be held in the coming months. Details will follow.
