Andrew J. Mastronardi

of Binghamton

Andrew J. Mastronardi, 50, passed into the arms of heavenly Father on Monday, January 23, 2012. He is survived by his loving parents, Victor J. and Judith Mastronardi; brother, Michael Anthony Mastronardi, sisters, Annamaria Mastronardi, Monica Lucia Mastronardi; niece, Stephanie Judith Hoffman, nephew, Maxwell C. Rozen; uncles, Eric and Connie Beach, Vincent and Ruth Ann Mastronardi, Rita and John Sejan, Julio and Jane Mastronardi, Vito Mastronardi, E. William Farneti (his Godfather); many wonderful cousins and friends. Andrew graduated from Vestal High School. He was on the high school bowling team and the ice hockey team. He also graduated from BOCES Culinary School and through this program he won second place in the sous chef competition at the Culinary Institute in Monticello, NY. He served as a chous Chef in local restaurants, Little Italy and Riccardo's. He worked at Vail-Ballou Press Company where he wa a pressman for 28 years until their closure, December 2009. Andrew loved Formula 1 racing and flew all over the world to their events. He was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and was an avid golfer.

A Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. James Church, 155 Main Street, Johnson City. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Chenango Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 from 4-7 pm at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850 from whom we received loving care and/or CaringBridge.org, the wonderful communication system that kept all of us in touch. We thank the doctors and nurses with Associates and Family medicine, Lourdes Hospital and Robert Packer Hospital.
