Cheryl was born on May 14, 1948 in Montgomery, AL to Robert & Elizabeth Snell. She received her GED and went on to work as an Accounts Payable Clerk for Abbott House & Dean Foods. Cheryl was known for her: love of Jesus, family, music, crocheting and serving her church.
Cheryl is survived by her sisters: Barbara Arduini & Elizabeth Deveney, son John Smith, daughter Sheri Stevens, nephews: Brian Arduini & Robert Deveney, niece Christy Bell, grandchildren: Matthew, Joshua, Ashley, Hannah, Jonny, Robert, Brian, & Aiden, and her great-granddaughter Luna.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents Robert & Elizabeth Snell, husband Ken Merritt, niece Jennifer Arduini and grandson Christian Stevens.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at 11am at Ossining Gospel Assembly in New York. A second service will be held in Texas (date and time to be determined).
