

On January 16, 2025, Diane Marie Majewski-Wilson affectionately known as “Lady Di” was escorted by an angel to eternal rest at Binghamton General Hospital ICU surrounded by loving family and dedicated nurses. Diane was born on February 6th, 1953, in Binghamton NY.
Diane was a native of Binghamton, NY. Her family were residents of the 5th Ward; she was a graduate of Binghamton North High School. For many years as a young mother raising her two young children, she provided child care in her home for children of friends in the house.
Diane started her long-term employment in public service as an employee at the Binghamton Psychiatric Center and retired in 1994.
Diane was an active member of Mt. Sinai COGIC in Binghamton, NY under the leadership of Pastor Marc D. Johnson.
Diane was lively, vibrant, witty and fierce, her presence commanded attention. Generally, she was the life of the party because she knew how to transform the mood and environment with her candor, humor and radiant personality. Diane enjoyed dancing, listening to music and loved fashion. She always dressed to impress, and had an obsession for fashion and hair styling including wearing her red lipstick. She would never leave the house without her hair styled and clothing well-coordinated. At any given day of the week you would find her straightening or curling her hair, cutting her hair and changing the color of her hair including doing her make-up, and nails, etc. Diane was very outspoken. You would never have to wonder what she was thinking because she would share with you what was on her mind. Diane’s straight forward personality with a loving and genuine nature touched many lives far beyond her immediate surroundings.
Diane was very family oriented. She loved her family. Diane’s pride of life and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family, going on family trips, vacations, attending family events such as birthday parties, summer vacations to Virginia Beach to name a few. Diane’s pillars of life were: Faith, Family, Education and Community. She taught her grandchildren the Polish name for grandmother "Babcia” (bob-shee). In her spare time, Diane loved to cook and was well known for her potato salad, cakes and sweet potato pies/ tarts. She loved doing her favorite hobby which were cooking foods for family meals and for the senior citizens in her neighborhood community.
Diane has spent 71 years being a fighter, lover and a giver, but most of all being herself. She fought a good fight and finished the course. She was a praying woman and a woman of wisdom.
Diane leaves her family a wealth of cherished memories and a legacy of strength, prayer and love. She was loved by many and will be missed. She is survived by her daughter Danielle Majewski- Lowney and son – in law Barsheem Lowney, Son Ian Majewski and daughter in-law Tina Marie Majewski. Grandchildren Shevon Majewski – Brown, Barshera Majewski, Devan Martinez, Danyella Lowney, Sheem Lowney, Jarius Duran, Seth Majewski, Xavier Majewski and Tianna Majewski. Great Grandchildren, Jah-Lon Cook, Za’Marah Douglas, Jelaya Crockwell, and Ca’MyisLewis, Malik Lewis, Nazir Burton, Kareem and Kareemah Santana-Lowney. Many loving In-laws, nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Salvation Temple Church in Binghamton, NY with Pastor Shevis Brown-officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m until service begins. Online condolences maybe made at www.dignitymemorial.com .
