

Dolores M. Roser (Dodie) of Binghamton, died peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Elizabeth Church Manor. Dolores was born June 24, 1929 to Letitia and Harold Kilmer. She graduated from North High School in 1947 and married her predeceased husband, Robert C. Roser in July 1948. Together they raised 8 children and were married for 40 years. As a lifelong member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church, Dolores served as a Deacon for several years and taught Sunday School for even more. As a young woman, she worked at Kroehler Furniture and Fowler, Dick and Walker prior to her marriage. She also volunteered her time to people in need at Fairview Nursing Home; providing a means of transportation, an arm to lean on and loving support. People say, "there is nothing like a mother's love", Dolores was a true example of someone who gave love unconditionally. She loved her family, friends, travel, adventure and life. With a remarkable wit and a song in her heart, she lived life to its fullest. She now leaves loving memories to her surviving family; her brother, Ronald and Carol Kilmer, their children, James Kilmer, Jeffrey Kilmer, and Diane and Ed Dunn. Her children; Susan and Edmund Scullion, Linda and Stan Kapica, Chris and Anne Roser, Joseph and Migdalia Roser, Judy and Chester S. Knebel, Cindy and Mark Knebel, Otto and Beverly Roser, and Kurt and Karen Roser. Her grandchildren; Tracey and Matthew Scullion, Jonathan and Sylvia Kapica, Christopher and Jenna Kapica, Meghan and Michael Steffanucci, Dan and Sara Roser, Rob Roser, Karl and Emily Roser, Hilary Roser, Gunnar Roser, Chester B. and Kelly Knebel, Nicholas Knebel, Zachary Knebel, Melissa and Trevor Knebel, Brigitta and John Putnam, Hans Roser, and Hannah Roser. Her great-grandchildren; Megan Rose, Grace, Mason, Tucker, Cambria, Greta, and Dietrich as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family members of Warren and Hilda Roser who were very dear to her. Family and friends are invited to call at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 549 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY, on Thursday, October 9, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Deposit.
