Donald C. Claflin, 80, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2017. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Melissa Mitchell. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jean; Donna & Larry Tyler, Vickie & Frank Bates, Linda & Bob Barry and Debbie & Robert Phillips; grandchildren, Willis Mitchell, Courtney Bates, Caitlin Bates, Rachel Barry, Lauren Barry, Ian Phillips, Brayden Phillips; great granddaughter, Lily Boyd; siblings, Al, Roy, Sarah, Caroline and Joyce. He proudly served in the US Airforce during the Korean Conflict. He worked as manufacturing engineer in the aerospace industry. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 5-7 pm at the Wm. R Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY 13901. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:00 am at Vestal Hills Memorial Park.
