Doreen Bush

Doreen Bush, 89, Chenango Forks, NY, With sorrow, but with a deep faith in God’s eternal plan, Doreen Lucy Bush our devoted and loving Mother, was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Stanley Bush on August 22, 2025.

Doreen and Stan were married for 59 years before The Lord called Dad home in November of 2023. Mom and Dad lived a wonderful life full of happiness and love for each other and their family. They were lifelong hosts holding celebrations and gatherings either at their home, or at their cottage on the lake. All were welcome, taken care of, well fed, and loved.

One of ten children, Doreen found her greatest joy in her family. Her parents, Theodore, and Ruth Myers, and five brothers; Vick (Elaine), Theodore, Burt (Gloria), Paul (Joyce), and Donald “Bub” (Linda). Four sisters; Jean Hoover (Bill), Carol Stallman, Sandy Grubham, and Donna Gurnsey (Richard). Moms’ family, along with Dads parents Stanley Sr, and Ann, his sister Shirley Whitbeck (Don), and dozens of nieces, nephews, and a large extended family, all of whom were so very special to her. Thanks to all of you for sharing your life and your love with Mom.

Doreen is survived by her three children who cherished her, Laura Blaisure (Kevin), Dan Bush (Mischelle) and Susan Theodore (Matt). Her grandchildren who she treasured, Rickie (Heather), Jessica, Ray, Daniel, Haley, Jesse, Dalton, and great grandchildren, Lila and Bella.

May Mom and Dad rest together in the arms of the Lord until we meet them again. Love lives on.
