Guerino Monaco

Guerino Monaco, 91, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012. He was predeceased by his infant daughter Marlena; parents, Alphonso and Grazia Monaco; sister, Linda Monaco; brother and sister-in-law, Sabatino and Antonietta Monaco; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Emilio and Evelina DeNinis; Nell and Evelina Paciocco; sister and brother-in-law, Antionetta and Gelinda Bosco. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Grazia (DeNinis) Monaco, Binghamton; sons and daughters-in-law, Alfonso and Beverly Monaco; Mario and Patricia Monaco, all of Binghamton; grandchildren, Jamie and Anne Monaco, Greene, NY; Michael and Robyn Monaco, Urbana, MD; Joey Monaco, Binghamton; Jeffrey and Kaitlin Monaco, Buffalo, NY; Krista Monaco, Binghamton; 1 sister, Elena Monaco residing in Italy; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Giacomo and Maria DeNinis; Frank and Ginette DeNinis; Genesio and Maria DeNinis; Sandro and Iginia D’Alessandro, Donato and Lydia Marchegiano, all of Binghamton; many nieces and nephews. He was a retired employee of Dellapenna Construction Co. with 43 years of service and a member of the Men’s Abruzzee Social Club. He was an Italian Army Veteran of WW II and a prisoner of war in Germany. He was an avid gardener. He looked forward to his weekly Sunday dinner with his family, walking and having a glass of wine with his grandson, Jamie. These were precious times.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Church of Sts John and Andrew, Vestal Avenue, Binghamton. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the Church of Sts John and Andrew on Monday from 9 – 11 AM. Arrangements are by the James V. DeMarco & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango Street, Port Dickinson, NY.
