Janice Y. Crocker

Janice Yvonne (Pierce) Crocker, 88, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. She was predeceased by her parents, Florence A. (Baker) Pierce and Eldyn S. Pierce; her husband of 49 years, Harold F. Crocker Jr.; brothers, Eldon Pierce and David H. Pierce. She is survived by her children, Harold III (Linda) Crocker, Judy (Robert) McClintock, Kenneth Crocker and his partner Cindy Barnes, Daniel (Jenny) Crocker; her sisters, Mary (Norman) Thonhoff and Patricia Drossos; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and her special lifelong friend, Gloria Allen. Janice was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who spent 65 years filling her home with love, laughter, and kind words. Janice enjoyed swimming, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and founding member and Co-President/Treasurer of the Ladies of the Elks, Binghamton Lodge #70. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 549 Chenango St., Binghamton. Burial will follow in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family invites friends to an afternoon celebration of Janice's life, following the cemetery interment, at the church. Friends may call at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Immanuel Presbyterian Church.
