DeeDee, sorry to hear the news of your fathers passing, I find myself thinking back to earlier years when your father could be found working in his garden,  riding his lawn tractor up and down the street...yup, that was your dad! He certainly was a character..I can still see him standing at the edge of his property shouting to dad about the day or , cruising down bevier st. in his antique truck and of course later in life he would finally find someone who really understood him...yup, Barney dog! He will be missed -Tina

To the Barsham families; I am so sorry of hearing the passing of John. I was a childhood friend of the Dillingham boys and remember John very well from when Marilyn was residing at Good Shepherd Fairview Home. And one time John took me home from work when my car was down and we had lunch together at Michaelangelo's . And that cute little dog Barney. Barney even got his own name tag for when John would visit Marilyn. Only for a while did I get to know John pretty well but it was a treasured friendship. Always would talk about the Dillingham times and fun. May all of you find peace and comfort during this time and may you all have wonderful reflections of a good man.

To all the Barsham family - Please accept our condolences on the passing of your father and grandfather.  Losing a parent/grandparent is so very difficult and emotional.  Lean on each other for support during this time as it will make the coming months much easier.  You will be in our thoughts on Sunday and Monday.

Dee Dee and Rick, we share your grief and remember how interesting your father was. His shortwave radio and trips around the neighborhood provide fond memories. If you needed to know how deep your well was ... he told you. What's being renovated and if it was of quality, he knew that too! He watched out for his neighbors. However, his love for his grandchildren was his most special interest. Your dad was a good man and will be remembered for those qualities.

John was always pleasent, sincere and funny as we worked togeather over the years.  My sincere wishes to his family and a little story.  John loved knives.  After watching him use various knives in the same day I asked "how many knives do you have on yourself right now?"  " I always carry FIVE".  "FIVE?"    I said..  "Yes sir, I have a purpose for each".  I bet him a dollar he did not have five knives in his pockets right then.  One by one out they came with the last one a little knife no more than an inch and a half long kept in a small leather snap open change holder.  Over to John went my dollar.  "I'll take that bet anytime Jim".  Over the years he took more of my money.  I never won.  I hope he goes to the beyond with a pocket knife. I have shared many memories with all the Barsham family through the years. John was a life long friend and will surely be missed by Margaret & I. Best wishes to all of you.  Dick & Margie

I join with so many others who knew your Father, in offering our deepest sympathy on his passing. Although it is little consolation at this sad time, it should be of some satisfaction that in his passing you can celebrate the end of a very long and productive life.
So many memories we all share, do not know where to begin.  The one that is right out there is our trips with a packed lunch up the pipeline.  Such adventures!!!!  Numerous fun as two different families enjoy times together.  I remember all your births, that is except Jimmy and Debbie.  They were our major allies in crime.
My thoughts are with each and everyone of you in this saddest time.
