Margaret H. Jones

Margaret Helen "Peggy" Jones of Windsor, NY entered God's warm embrace the afternoon of November 21, 2016. She is met in heaven by her beloved husband of thirty-eight years - John Ronald "Jug" Jones; her mother - Marguerite Ratzlaff (Farnam), (step-father, Benjamin Ratzlaff), and father - Walter C. Warren; a brother - Richard Warren; a daughter - Cheryl Lynn Hacker and a son Christopher Ray Hacker; a Niece Darlene Jones (Warren) and a son-in-law Edward Hrehor, Jr.. She is survived by - her children - Robert Brent Hacker (Sandra), Suzanne Hacker (Tom Tarsia), Raymond E Hacker, and Kelly Kay Hrehor (Jerry Emmons); her grandchildren - Christopher, Courtney, Cody, Abby, Noah, Dustin, Aaron, Christian, and a great-grandson - Christopher John Raymond; Her sister-in-law Joyce Warren, and nephews - Doug and Scott; and great-nieces and great-nephews - Jackie, Tracy, Mark, Rich, Kurt, Darlene, Alexis, Kenneth, Scotty, Nicolas, and Jade. Peggy was a Broome County retiree and worked as a fiscal manager for Broome BOCES, Broome County Sherriff's Department, and the Health Department. She was a true giver and believed in kindness, charity, and understanding of others; she was an adorable "heart" for many family and friends; her legacy will be a great source of comfort for her children; she is an example of boundless strength and perseverance bursting her petite stature. Peggy was well known for her dancing with her husband John - the jitterbug was like no other expression of unity in spirit and joy to behold. She was a great cook and her dishes added that something familiar and reassuring to every family gathering and vacation. She was a lover of animals and numerous family pets over the years - her furry friends kept a place of remembrance and happiness in her heart - surely many of them greet her now over the rainbow bridge. At her passing, Peggy was at peace with her God having the "Anointing of the Sick" and passed over in blissful slumber. A Celebration of Life will be held at the WM. R. CHASE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 737 CHENANGO STREET, PORT DICKINSON, NY 13901. Monday November 28, 2016 at 6 PM, the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00-6:00 PM. Burial will take place at Vestal Hills Memorial Park, at the convenience of her family.
