Binghamton: Michael P. Decker, Sr., 59, passed away peacefully at home on March 2, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Mildred Decker; one brother and one sister. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sandra Decker; his children, Michael Jr. and Kari Decker; Julie Warner; and Thomas and Jennifer Decker; eight grandchildren; three brothers; one sister; many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues at Binghamton City School District. Michael was employed for 24 ½ years at Binghamton City Schools, becoming a head custodian at East Middle School. He enjoyed playing his guitar and was accomplished in playing rock and country music. Michael will be dearly missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 6, at Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home, 737 Chenango St. Port Dickinson. Burial will take place in the spring at Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm.
