Ruth T. Kelly

Ruth T. Kelly passed away on June 26, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Russell Tuthill; her husband, Robert J. Kelly; and her brother, William B. Tuthill. She is survived by a son, Russell and his companion, Linda, of Endicott; a sister-in-law, Nancy Tuthill; and a niece, Amy Tuthill, of Binghamton; a nephew, Wesley Tuthill and his family, of Arvada, CO; and a nephew, William and his family, of Austin, TX. Ruth is also survived by a special friend, John Hunton. Ruth attended Harpur College for two years then Ridley Lowell School of Business. She then went to work at Tuthill's Photo Center. In later years, much of her time was given to volunteer work. Ruth really enjoyed doing for others. For many years, she was a member of the auxiliary at Fairview Good Sheperd Home. For more than 20 years she volunteered at Meals on Wheels of Western Broome. Ruth was a member of St. Paul's Church of Owego. She belonged to the Alter Guild and took communion to shut-ins. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 11am at the Wm. R. Chase & Son Funeral Home 737 Chenango St., Port Dickinson, NY 13901. A private burial will be held in the Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in Greene, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10am until the time of service. Those wishing might kindly consider making contributions in Ruth's name to a charity of one's choice . Ruth's family is very appreciative of the nursing staffs at Fairview Rehab and Good Sheperd Village Health Care Center for their compassionate care.
