My deepest sympathy for your family's loss. 
As I think back on my memories of Cousin Shirley I remember that she was bigger than life itself.  She was always so happy and had a good
 sense of humor.  I remember Uncle Dutch, 
her dad, was so proud of her.
My sister Jeanne, Madeline's daughter, loved cousin Shirley as they grew up together throughout those early years. 
I think of Shirley as the family matriarch...the center of her family...she loved each of you so much, spoke of you often, and was very proud 
of each and every one of you.  Her family was the center of her world...as she was the center
 of your's.
I am so happy that I had the opportunity to talk with her on her 90th birthday.  She enjoyed being with those she loved and... she loved the cake!
I find peace knowing that she has been reunited with those who passed on before her and pray that you do as well.

My love and prayers are with all of you,and I so wish I could be there with you all.
Your precious mom had "A heart of gold" How she managed to raise Donna and each of you with no outside monetary help is unfathonable. When she was in high school,she was a wonderful actress, and 
 even had  dreams of maybe following that dream. When she met Chet, your "dashing" dad, she gave up the acting dream forever, and settled into being the bestest mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend there ever was. Working several jobs at once to support you all, she was never short of Amazing!
My mom(Aunt Edna-her dad's sister), thought the world of her. She made my mom so happy... Planned her last Birthday party(83rd) and held her hand in the hospital  the night of mama's death. 
Having lived with Uncle Louie,Aunt Lavira and Shirley when I was little,she was the "big sister" I adored. Loving and nurturing were always her hallmark!!!
Heaven just gained a new angel... And Donna, Bobby and Megan are rejoicing to be 
with her again. Millie M, my mom and Bill M probably have a deck of cards ready, And
deceased METS fans and ball players are hooting and cheering to have their wonderful supporter in God's heavenly mansions.    "In order to have good memories, you have to MAKE good memories".
May your memories of your precious MOM-SHIRLEY... comfort you now in your loss.

I am so sorry for the loss of Shirley, she was a very special mom to you all.  She was the most kind hearted caring loving and full of so much life to share. She shared that with everyone she touched.
From the first time I met her she welcomed me into the family and treated like I was one of her own. 
I have so many fond memories of times shared with Shirley.

So sorry for your loss. Shirley was a very elegant woman. I enjoyed talking with her when she was at the hairdresser. She had a smile that was contagious. She will be very much missed.

A life well lived. Shirley had a great spirit for adventure; from her days with the old pop up trailer, to driving through Canada in the winter to visit Jay in North Dakota and her many other road trips. She loved her family and close friends more than anything and always worked at making sure we enjoyed life, too. So many memories of her mothering us neighborhood kids into adulthood, as well as our times at "The Land" in more recent years. I will miss this dear woman. RIP Shirley.
