Dorothy A. Nugent

Dorothy A. Nugent, a cherished resident of Ridge, NY, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2024. Born on November 16, 1939, in Queens, NY, Dorothy was a vibrant soul known for her love of art and life.

She was a devoted mother to Thomas and his wife Andrea, and Michael, whose lives were deeply enriched by her presence. Dorothy was also the loving sister of the late Louise Aumuller and her late husband, Joseph. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas H. Nugent.

Dorothy's passion for painting was a defining feature of her life, reflecting her boundless creativity and joy. Her interests extended beyond the canvas; she found delight in the beauty of Cedar Beach, the mysteries of astrology, and the pleasure of live music and concerts. She cherished driving around and exploring new places, with a particular fondness for traveling to Florida and Montauk. At Gurney's Inn, she would unwind in the saltwater pool, savoring moments of relaxation and peace.

Dorothy's memory will be lovingly preserved by her family and friends who will always remember her warmth, artistry, and zest for life. She will be deeply missed but her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 3-6 PM at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. Prayer service Saturday at 4:30 PM.
