Gloria Raimo passed away surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, traditions, and stories that will continue for generations.
She was the devoted mother of Mark, Cindi, and Joel; the proud grandmother of Shayne, Alyssa, Kiana, and Dominic; and the great-grandmother of Elaine. Gloria was the beloved sister of both Lucille Gerace, whom she loved dearly, and her late brother, Mario Raimo, whom she adored.
Gloria was known for her great sense of humor, contagious laugh, and larger-than-life personality. She was stubborn, independent, and strong-willed — traits that defined her and carried her through life on her own terms. A natural organizer and leader, she took pride in planning family reunions and gatherings and worked hard to keep family traditions alive through the years.
She had many passions and hobbies that brought her happiness, including jewelry-making, needlepoint, pottery painting, dancing, cheering on the New York Yankees, and all things Snoopy. She was especially known for her cooking and the love she poured into every meal. Her Italian dishes, especially her amazing sauce and lasagna with the “100 mini-meatballs” she made at Christmastime, became treasured family traditions that will never be forgotten. Every year, she also lovingly made Christmas cookies for her family, adding even more warmth and joy to the holiday season.
Gloria lived life with determination, humor, and strength, and she leaves behind memories that her family will carry with them always.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Memorial Visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, on May 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Prayer service at 6:30 PM.
