Jeffrey K. Stad, of Port Jefferson Station, NY, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, at the age of 80. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on June 5, 1945, Jeffrey lived a full and meaningful life centered around love, family, and adventure.
For 57 wonderful years, Jeffrey was the devoted husband of Barbara, his high school sweetheart and lifelong partner. Their beautiful love story began in their teenage years and carried them through decades of cherished memories, unwavering support, and shared dreams.
He was the loving father of Stefanie Sales (Richard) and Erik Stad (Laura), and the proud, adoring grandfather of Amanda Sales, Ryan Stad, Shane Stad, and Colleen Stad. Jeffrey’s family was his greatest joy, and he found immense happiness in spending time with them, celebrating milestones, and making lasting memories together.
Jeffrey was known for his handsome good looks, generous heart, strong sense of family, and impeccable organization. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, working on computers, and lending a helping hand to others whenever he could. He had a passion for puzzles, which he and Barbara often completed side-by-side, and they found joy in summer trips to Montauk and their many travels around the globe.
Together, Jeffrey and Barbara explored all 50 states, cruised to breathtaking destinations like Alaska, Hawaii, and Tahiti, and shared countless getaways at their favorite resort, Sandals. Whether near or far, they embraced life as an adventure—always hand in hand.
Jeffrey's legacy is one of love, kindness, and dedication. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
