Josephine was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, James Sr., and all of her siblings.
She was the devoted and loving mother of James F. Jr., Kathleen, Kenneth, Daniel, Judy, John, and Laurie. Josephine was a cherished grandmother and “Nanny” to 16 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 19.
Josephine was the true definition of a homemaker. Her home was always filled with warmth, faith, and love. She especially treasured hosting her cherished Sunday dinners, where family gathered around her table to share food, laughter, and memories.
An excellent cook, Josephine also had a special talent for making beautiful Irish knit sweaters. In her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, creating dresses, and lovingly making afghan blankets. Her generous spirit extended far beyond her family—she made hats for cancer patients and never forgot a birthday, faithfully sending cards to everyone she loved.
A woman of deep faith, Josephine volunteered at Mary Haven, helping with fundraisers for their annual balls. She carried a prayer list of 81 people and prayed for each one every day, a testament to her compassion and unwavering devotion to others.
Josephine’s legacy is one of faith, kindness, selflessness, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
