Dear Arlene and Doreen
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  Richie and I were cousins, he was six months older than me.  I remember when he was the manager of this variety store in Massapequa.  I would see him when I was looking for yarn and we would talk about family!  I enjoyed looking at the pictures and how proud he was of his family!

   It feels like a life time ago...My dearest aunt was getting married. There was hugging and kissing, laughter and tears. I remember how happy and radiant my aunt appeared as we bade fare-well to the happy couple.   
   I was so sleepy and upset on the ride home. I was frightened that this strange new man who I was to call "uncle" had stolen my aunt from me and life would never be the same again.
   As time went by it became evident that life was not the same....I delighted in watching my aunt and new uncle play stick ball and other sports during our bar-be-ques at grandma and grandpa's house. I'd never seen grown-ups "play" before. My new uncle was as doting as my dear aunt and always made room for me in their new life. It appeared that I was right to some extent. Life was never the same, it was better. It's not everyday you gain a wonderful uncle to go with your dearest aunt....Over the years I was truly blessed. My Uncle Lee wasn't a touchy, feely person, but you knew you were loved.
      My uncle had a passion for good times, life and laughter. He adored my aunt and my cousin. It was impossible not to notice that special sparkle he'd get in his eyes with any mention of his grandsons, and how proudly he spoke of his son-in-law.
   My Uncle Lee was a good man who lived a good and happy life. I feel he made me a better person and the many others whose lives he touched.  He will surely be missed until the day we meet again.

Dear Aunt Arlene,  It seems so long ago when you and Uncle Lee would come and spend Saturday evenings with us. It was Uncle Lee who suggested I read the Jeopardy questions, which I know I sort of messed up some of the words, but he always encouraged me! However, my fondest memory of Uncle Lee is when Brian and I brought our family over to visit with you and Uncle Lee in 2010, and when we had to leave, he gave me the biggest hug and for a moment I think he didn't want to let me go...I will always cherish that moment!!

So sorry for your loss. Your family is in our thoughts. Uncle Lee will always have a special place in our hearts.

I remember the first time I met Mr. Wagstaff.  I was 5 years old.  Doreen and I had met the first day of kindergarten at the Wigwam and I was invited over to her house to play on the swing set in the side yard.  Her dad came home from work and he came over and asked me my name.  I will always remember his smile, his laugh and his kindness to his daughter and her friends.  There is a special place reserved in heaven for him and I know he is there now in peace and love.  All our sympathy to Arlene, Doreen and the whole family.  I am so sorry I can't be with you all at this time but you are in my heart and my prayers.  All my love!
