Petricia, was known to her family and friends as Tee, Pat, Pet and even Mom. She attended the Setauket Schools and as a young girl she belonged to the local social group "The Jolly-Link-Y-Teens". Pet enjoyed bowling and at the age of 75 she took up golf. Although she liked the golf course, it made her rather nervous, but she still always continued to swing her club! She was employed as a Mental Health Aide for NYS at Edgewood and Pilgrim Psychiatric Centers and Long Island Developmental Center. She like listening to audiobooks, doing crytoquotes, Sukoko, lottery scratch-off tickets, along with a good or bad trip to the casino (smile). Most of all Petricia loved to travel, whether for big or small adventures, she was always packed to go.
Petricia was preceded by her husband of 56 years, Walter, fondly known as "Kenny". She will always be remembered and cherished by their children; Trudie Hart and her late husband Everett "Coach" of Leesburg, Florida, Donald Kidwell and his wife Joanna Grande of Babylon, New York and Judith Kidwell and her companion Michael Messina of Tucson, Arizona.
There are a host of family and friends who also loved her dearly. Over the last seven years, Douglas Wells has not only been her confidant and her significant companion but a wonderful and supportive friend.
All through Petricia's medical issues, she maintained a positive and upbeat attitude. Whatever name you knew our Mom by, whether it was Tee, Pet, Pat or Petricia, she has now gone on to become our "Good Angel".
