It has been a year of "First time without Pop." You are in our hearts and we miss you so much.  Family events, school plays, report card time is just not the same without you.  You would be so proud of all your grandkids and the accomplishments that have achieved. I love you, Dad. And I miss you so very much.

Over a year later and I still miss you each and everyday. Port Jeff Bowl is not, and never will be, the same without you. You were always there to teach, to play, to make me crazy and to offer a much needed shoulder to cry on. You fed me, you comforted me, you listened to me and you cared. You started my puzzle every night and I haven't been able to even look at it since you left. Miss you more than you'd ever imagine.

 I am deeply saddened by the news of Rays passing.
 Ray was a very special person in my life for almost 30 years. He was like a second dad to me. He always knew how to make me laugh. 
Ray touched so many lives, he was a great man.  I have many memories, and the one that stands out the most is, I remember the summer of '92 when a bunch of us would meet there at PJB at midnight and Ray would turn on 1&2  or 5&6 and let us bowl till 3 in the morning. He would say at 2am "alright guys, last game" and we would beg him "just one more.. c'mon..please" He would laugh and say "ok"  then 5 games later.... we knew we better go. That was one of my most favorite memories of Ray.    Nights will never be the same at Port Jeff Bowl.

Ray  you hired me at port jeff bowl,we bowled together,you taught me alot you were a huge part of the reason  i bowled and worked at the bowl.you are a  very good and caring man.even though i havent seen you in a while i did talk to you  right after last christmas. i will cherish that phone call and all of  my memories with you you have a gwonderful family and and second family.you will be missed.RIP  Rayzo

Ray, We met you 19 years ago...right around the time we got together and you made me love bowling which I did not even like before meeting you. We have been through good times and bad and through it all you have always been a wonderful friend. We will miss you....heppy though that you are up with the angels watching over everyone dowwn here.

Ray you have always been there through our tough times and the good times  you have given us great advise and always were happy to help. You were a proud husband, father and grandfather to a family that cherishes you.

Ray was always a welcoming face at the bowling alley. He just made you feel that he always had time to chat and share his life and stories with you. He was a regular gentleman with extraordinary kindness in his heart. I would often times stop by the alley just to say Hello or ask him to try out a new cupcake we made. He spoke highly of his grandchildren and never had a bad word to say about anyone. I always looked forward to seeing him every league night and asking how he's been. He was the type of person who had such a quiet, wonderful impact on your life just by being in it! Ray you were a model human being, a wonderful friend and a comforting face through all times. You will be missed dearly! Love you.

I'm so happy that I had the great fortune to work side by side with Ray on a daily basis. He was a wonderful man, someone I am proud to have called my friend. He was always there for me when I needed him. He was there for me when I did not know I needed him. . . yet, somehow, he knew. He was caring and patient and supportive. I'll be lost for awhile until I learn how to continue on without his support. He was often my rock and I'm sure many of his Port Jeff Bowl family would say the same. He was the heart and soul of Port Jeff Bowl and will be sorely missed by all. Thank you to the Cepeda family for sharing him with us.

Ray,  I have no words to express how sadden I am that you are no longer with us.  You were a WONDERFUL caring man.  My heart is broken in a way that it can not be repaired.  The last time I felt like this, I lost my dad. You were a proud dad and grandpa...and you adored your wife.  I was blessed to have known you and your family and work along side of you for many years.  You have watched my children grow. My son Daniel thought of you as Uncle Ray.
