Beloved wife of Michael J., she passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted mother to Michael (Theresa), Chris (Kristen), Suzanne, and Thomas (Linda), and a cherished grandmother to Ian, Connor, Aiden, and Mikaela.
Sheila was the loving sister of Marilyn Daley, Margaret Lavan, Ann Bayer and The Late Christopher McNally. Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Sheila found joy in life’s simple pleasures — crocheting handmade gifts, baking delicious treats, and most especially, spending time with her grandchildren. Her playful spirit shone through during their favorite game, Left Right Center, where, despite her best efforts, she somehow always seemed to lose — a fact that brought much laughter to all.
Sheila’s love, laughter, and gentle presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at O. B. Davis Funeral Homes, located at 4839 Nesconset Highway, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776, on July 9, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Gerard Majella RC Church, 300 Terryville Rd, Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776.
The final resting place will be St. Patrick's Cemetery, located at 183 Mt. Pleasant Road, Smithtown.
A celebration of Sheila's life will follow the burial at the Hibernian Hall in Selden.
