Dorothy M. Fisher

Dorothy M. Fisher, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away June 12, 2014 at the age of 90. She was born September 1, 1923 in Cottle County, TX to the late Hiram Blythe and Effie Sparks Dawdy. She was a retired Accountant.

She is survived by her son, Larry Leon Burris (Alice) of Wimberley, TX; sister, Shirley Keller (Leslie) of Victoria, grandchildren, Andrea Lynn Andreassen (J.R.), Lucas Langston Burris (Frances), Loren Laird Burris; great-grandchildren, Leon Oskar Andreassen, Lucien Lee Burris, William Scott Burris and nephew and niece, Ricky and Terrie Miller of Port Lavaca.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard M. Fisher; parents; sisters, Marguarite Dawdy, Lucille Welch, Alta Mae Keen, Evelyn Miller, Allene Christian; brother, John Lloyd “Mike” Dawdy and grandson, Larry Leon Burris, Jr.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 15, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tivoli Cemetery.
