On January 27, 2023 a sweet angel entered this world, Elliette “Mae Mae” Kocian. She was beautiful. God, she was so beautiful. She was sweet and she was kind and she had a heart bigger than her body. She laughed at least 500 times a day. She said I love you and she meant it. She was so polite and had such good manners. She was so smart. She could sign along to Ms. Rachel like a pro. She loved her dresses. She would voice her very loud opinion if anyone made her wear pants. She was perfect in every way. She could make the grinch feel a heart flutter with those big blue eyes. She loved Bingo, Muffin, Minnie Mouse, bubbles, chocolate, her pink sparkly dress, chocolate milk, donuts, dancing, bandaids, her friends, her brothers and sisters, her baby Eli, water balloons, her baby dolls, playing pretend, popsicles and probably a thousand other things that can’t be remembered now. And her family loved that baby, they loved her so hard and with everything they had in them. And if love could’ve let her live she’d have lived to be 200. However, on May 12, 2025 Jesus called sweet “Mae Mae” home at the age of 2.
She leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her Daddy and Mommy, Lane and Kassidy Kocian; siblings, Everly, Everett, Eloise and Eli; her grandparents, Philip and Kelly Wehmeyer, Mark and Jan Kocian, and her “Stephy”; and her great-grandparents, Ed and Joyce Juroske and Elizabeth Mutchler.
A time of visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home with a celebration of Elliette’s life beginning at 11. Burial will follow in Six Mile Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mae Mae's Grampy (Philip Wehmeyer), Gampaw (Mark Kocian) and big brother (Everett Kocian).
Memorials may be made to the Griffin YMCA Early Center in Elliette’s memory.
