
Jeannine Rawlings, 80 of Bay City formerly of Port Lavaca passed away May 12, 2011. She was born January 5, 1931 in Buda, TX to the late Jesse and Jessie Doherty Galbreath. Jeannine was a member of First Baptist Church in Bay City, Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Port Lavaca and was a retired floral store owner.
She is survived by her daughters, Danne Russell and husband Calvin of Bay City, Bunny Smith and husband William of Alvin; sons, Dennis Rawlings and wife Elaine of El Campo and Mark Rawlings and wife Rita of Austin; sisters, Peggy Lemon of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Dimples Hargraves of San Angelo and Joann Burk of Conroe; brother, Corky Galbreath of San Marcos; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Jeannine was preceded in death by her husband, Billie “Bill” Rawlings in 2007 and her son, Billy James Rawlings in 2009.
A time of visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the Alamo Heights Baptist Church in Port Lavaca with the Rev. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Thompson, Ethan Warden, Derek Rawlings, Patrick Richardson and Mike Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Clay Rawlings and Michael Hall.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alamo Heights Baptist Church at 110 Trinity Shores Dr., Port Lavaca, TX 77979.
