Nancy Irene Blakeman-Rhodes, 89, of Port Lavaca, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 30, 2021, peacefully, in her home, surrounded by family. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona to the late Andy and Frieda Muffett Callis on November 9, 1931.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husbands; Lawrence Blakeman and George Fred Rhodes, brother; William (Buddy) Callis, and grandson; Michael Fleming.
Nancy is survived by her daughters; Yavonne Blakeman, Joyce Fleming, and Judy Blakeman, sons; Gale Blakeman and wife Dunaya, Danny (Mouse) Blakeman and wife Dee Dee, and Arlin Blakeman and wife Tammy, sister; Shirley Arthurs, sister-in-law; Betty Callis, 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, stepchildren and step- grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in the State Room, a second visitation will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 1-2 pm, immediately followed by graveside service at 2 pm, all at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park Cemetery, 2951 State Highway 46 South, New Braunfels, Texas, with Pastor Larry Green officiating.
