Rita V "Grandma Cookie" Rios

She is survived by her daughters, Consuelo Rios, Alma Gloria Rios, Odilia Rodriguez, Lucy Leita and Noemi Rios; sons, Juan Manuel, Apolonio V., Rudy, Rick and Oscar Rios; brother, Manuel Villarreal; 34 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren and 65 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan D. Rios; daughter, Nora Perkins; son, Jose Arturo Rios; 4 sisters and 5 brothers.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home in Port Lavaca. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Seadrift. Interment will follow in Seadrift Cemetery.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Alex Morales, Juan Rios Jr., Arturo Hisquierdo, Ruben Rios, Robert Hisquierdo and Apolonio Rios Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Leo Morales, Cleo Morales, Samuel Rios, Luis Rene Rodriguez II, Rudy Lee Rios, Ricky Rios Jr., Michael Rios, Daniel Leita, and Chad Rios.
