Robert E. Mathisen, 84 of Port Lavaca passed away March 4, 2011. He was born February 14, 1927 in Aransas Pass, Texas to the late Henry and Bertha Amanda Bromley Mathisen. Mr. Mathisen retired after 37 years with CPL. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Robert is survived by his wife, Carole Parker Mathisen of Port Lavaca; step-daughters, Rita Morris and Linda Crites both of Leander; step-sons, Gary Nichols of Port Lavaca and Curtis Nichols (Liusja) of Victoria; sister, Earlene Best of San Leon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Kathy Moore; sisters, Ellen Flurt, Rosilie Young and Lora Trent; brothers, Clarence, Ralph, Richard and Earnest Mathisen.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Richardson Colonial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Mauro, Ruben, Cody, Donnie, Archie and Jeffrey.
