

Tommy E. Rouse, 68, of Port Lavaca passed away November 12, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He was born May 19, 1946 in Gatesville, TX to the late Reamer and Elenora Rouse. He was the owner of Central Auto Supply and car washes before his retirement. He served in the National Guard. He and Julie went to Mexico for 5 months every year and he enjoyed the sunsets and being anywhere near the water, fishing, playing dominos and cards and he loved camping across the United States in their RV the most. He was a generous man and would lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it.
He is survived by his wife, Julianne Aveni Rouse of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter, Carrie Rouse of Port Lavaca; step-sons, Ron Flowers of Texas City and Kraig (Charlotte) Flowers of League City; sisters, Estherleen, Lenore and Emilie; 6 grandchildren, Wesley, Kelsey, Colin, Klint, Kristin and Eric; 2 great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Colton and numerous, loving friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Rouse and grandson, Zachary Rouse.
Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Tues., Nov. 18, 2014 at Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Wed., Nov. 19, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Westbrook officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens.
Pallbearers are Wesley Newmyer, Colin Rouse, Charles Smith, Ray Fojt, Jim Greer and Andy Cherne.
