

Barbara Louise Schuster passed away on Saturday, April 13, at Hospice in Port Orange with her husband Vincent at her side.
Barbara was born in Toronto on February 3, 1929 to Mabel and George Earle.
During her lifetime she was very active with music. Barbara for many years sang with the Leslie Bell Singers, an all female choir famous in Canada, performing on radio and TV sponsored by Canadian General Electric. She also made singing commercials for Canadian radio.
Later she joined the Mendelson Choir, the home choral group for the Toronto Symphony. This group toured most of Europe and North America. She sang in Albert Hall in London, as well as in Belgium, Switzerland, and Paris, France. She also sang in the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC and many other American cities.
She worked for ABitibi Price, a paper manufacturer for many years. Later she became a legal secretary for McCarthy and McCarthy, a large Canadian legal firm.
On December 18, 1982 Barbara married Vincent Schuster, a widower, an American in Toronto. They moved to Irvine California, where they lived until 1986. While there she performed on television at the Crystal Cathedral, under the direction of Robert Schuler.
She and her husband moved to the Spruce Creek Fly-In in October 1986. She became a member of the Daytona Beach Choral Society until she became ill. Barbara also played piano for the Bed Pan Band, a hospital group in New Smyrna Beach that toured many hospitals and senior homes. She was also a member of the Spruce Creek Chorus.
While living at the Spruce Creek Fly-in, she was responsible for naming the monthly newsletter, “The Update”.
In addition to her husband, Vincent, Barbara is survived by two nieces and a nephew in Canada: Judy and her family, Beverly and her family in London, Ontario, and nephew, Douglas, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Also, the children of her husband, Karen and Steven and their children. Funeral services were held in Florida.
