Betty Jane Lynch

Betty Jane Lynch, 94, was reunited with her beloved family when she was called home the morning of May 10th, 2022.  The second youngest of five children born to Wesley and May Wales, Betty and her late husband Earl Clayton Lynch moved to Florida in 1973 and settled in the Daytona/Port Orange area in 1999 to be close to family.  A medical assistant who helped in all manners of care, including surgical, Betty also found joy in painting, sewing, and shopping.  In her later years, she could often be found putzing about the house, spending time with her children, or enjoying a social gathering with the Red Hat Ladies.  Surviving her is her daughter, Sandi Lynch, grandchildren Wendy and Thomas O’Meara, and great grandchildren Jordan and Sommer Denton.  Betty was met in Heaven by her husband, Earl Clayton, son David, daughters Bonnie Swartz and Deborah Roberts, brothers Ed, Wesley, and Bob, sister Ellie, and grandchildren Scott and Blair Roberts.

Friends and family will gather for a Visitation/Viewing on Friday, May 20th beginning at 10:30am at Shannon Maloney Funeral Home, 4084 Halifax Dr., Port Orange FL. Betty will be laid to rest, with a graveside service being held at 2pm at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Rd. in Ormond Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Halifax Humane Society.
