

Carol Tatum, 67, of Daytona Beach, formerly of Mims, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 16, 1946 in Cedarhurst, New York to the late Charles and Helen (Craft) David. She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Carol shared her husband’s passion for the outdoors, and loved to spend time fishing, watching the waves at the beach, and visiting nature preserves. She enjoyed word puzzles, reading, crafting, baking, and volunteering at her granddaughter’s elementary school Horizon Elementary and was proud to be named volunteer of the year. She is survived by her devoted husband of 36 years, Ronald; her children: Scott Buchanan and wife Christine, of Palm Bay, David Tatum and wife Samantha, of Port Orange, Cheryl Ernest and husband Scott, of Mainz, Germany; and grandchildren: Dillon Plemmons, Tiffany Buchanan, and Kaitlyn Tatum. Carol’s family would like to thank the Dialysis Care Center of Daytona Beach for their excellent care and support. The family will receive friends Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 2-4 pm at Volusia MemorialFuneral Home 4815 Clyde Morris Blvd. Port Orange.
