

Caroline E. Gorsic, age 93, of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Born in Hershey, PA, Caroline followed in her family's footsteps and was a quality control inspector for the Hershey Food company, specifically in their Hershey Kiss department. To date, their family has been involved with the factory's production for over 100 years with several family members still actively employed there. After the family's move to Florida, Caroline found employment through Brown & Brown, from which she retired, and was a volunteer with the Port Orange Police Department.
Caroline was creative - enjoying ceramics and painting for many years, even owning a local ceramic shop in the Port Orange area for a brief time. She also loved watching the local wildlife and birds, as well as playing cards with friends in various communities in the area.
Caroline is survived by her son, Joe Gorsic, daughter, Bonnie Gorsic, multiple cousins and beloved caregivers along with close friends and neighbors.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Caroline's Life and Legacy will be held on Tuesday, September 24, at 11 am at the Catholic Church of the Epiphany, 201 Lafayette St., Port Orange FL 32127, with a committal service taking place at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, FL 32174 following the mass.
Additionally, friends and family are invited to a reception at Volusia Memorial Funeral Home - Ormond Beach, 548 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach, after the committal to share in fellowship and remembrance of Caroline.
